Reverse Cancer Naturally With Nutrition and Exercise

Americans currently have a one in three chance of being diagnosed of cancer in any given year, and that rate is expected to climb to one in TWO by 2050.  The supposed 'war on cancer' has been a total and utter failure, and the mainstream FDA approved therapies kill more people than they heal (which is averaging around 2%).  Cancer is a disease of our own doing.  We create cancer, diabetes, heart disease, Alzheimer's, and 98% of all disease through our lifestyle choices, meaning, through the food we eat, the foods we DON'T eat, the nutrients we DON'T give ourselves, and through our failure to regularly exercise and detoxify.  My own mother died of an inoperable brain tumor in 2009, and I wish to God I had known then all that I know now, and I'm still learning.

The following is a short, concise article written by Mike Barrett from www.naturalsociety.com on the lifestyle changes that can make the difference between a lifetime of health and vitality vs. one of cancer, disease, and early death.  You may access and read this article from the original source   here.  Now, on to today's article...

Cancer Rates Can be Cut in Half with Lifestyle Changes

Although cancer cures do exist – no, not in the form of mainstream medical treatment – these cures are still perceived as non-existent by many in the mainstream health community and abroad. Along with these lesser known cures, though, comes the ability to prevent cancer from developing in the first place, which most people would not argue with. In fact, cancer rates in the U.S. and other nations could be cut in half or more with the knowledge we have today.

Cancer Rates Can be Cut in Half with Lifestyle Changes, Natural Solutions

While scientists and mainstream medical professionals call upon the abilities of mainstream medical science to lessen these cancer rates, research shows that the war against cancer using such techniques is painfully failing. Despite 10′s of millions of dollars being spent on the war on cancer each year, overall rates continue to climb, while mainstream medicine provides little benefit. What drug proponents do receive, however, is profits.
Pushed by many drug companies as the only ‘scientific’ method of combating cancer alongside chemotherapy, cancer drugs have been found to actually make cancer worse by causing tumors to ‘metasize’ aggressively and kill patients more quickly. Chemotherapy and radiation treatments are notorious for causing extreme damage to the body, and doctors know it. In fact, 3 out of 4 doctors would completely refuse chemotherapy due to its ineffectiveness, according to polls and questionnaires. Unfortunately for those accepting this treatment, not only will it cost thousands or 10′s of thousands of dollars while failing to solve the problem, but the treatment may even cause DNA mutations extending to offspring.
Meanwhile, cancer cures are being taken advantage of by those who recognize potentialities of natural solutions. Cancer could be eradicated from the body by anything from mega-doses of intravenous vitamin C to the powerful applications of  juice fasting (Gerson therapy, etc.). Natural cancer cures with patients who have not undergone chemo or radiation has anover 80 percent cure rate, while mainstream medicine lingers around a 3-5 percent cure rate.
It is important that individuals become aware of the fact that natural solutions do in fact exist, but prevention is always a much simpler solution. So how can cancer rates be drastically slashed? Unfortunately, there are countless carcinogenic substances being used in most consumer products and food. Fructose is consistently being found to play a significant role in the development and spread of cancer, so fructose consumption should be greatly limited. On a consumer products note, most mainstream shampoos, deodorants, soaps, etc, contain carcinogenic ingredients such as tricolsan, triclocarbon, and titanium dioxide, to name a few.
In addition to avoiding these cancer-causing substances, begin to consume the many cancer-fighting foods at your disposal. The spice turmeric has been shown time and time again to block cancer growth, and 12 studies have shown turmeric to reduce tumors by 81 percent. Ginger, a cousin spice of turmeric, has also been revealed as a cancer fighter, shrinking prostate tumor size by 56 percent in mice. Vitamin D, the use of natural sweeteners, and especially exercise have all been shown to help fight off cancer. Solutions to fighting and preventing cancer are available, you simply must recognize them.
In order to harness the power of prevention in these aspects, you will need to avoid those things which are causing cancer as much as you can, and consume important substances that fight against cancer regularly. To stay sane, go about the avoidance at a “good, better, best” approach — being fanatical will cause stress and subsequently compromise your health. Using organic consumer products, consuming organic foods, and filtering your tap water will greatly reduce the ingestion of cancer-causing substances.

Some additional suggestions of my own for those battling cancer or any other chronic health condition...

  • 1 Healthy Start Pack per 100 pounds of body weight, which you can buy from Youngevity here.
  • 1 bottle of Ultimate Selenium per 50 lbs of body weight (also available from Youngevity)
  • Get your ORAC score (Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity) up to at least 100,000 per day via things like: Triple Treat Chocolate (almost 17,000 per piece), Cell Shield RTQ, lots of green vegetables  are good, blueberries, pomegranates, ginger, ginseng, and other dark color fruits and vegetables
  • Absolutely no fried foods, processed meats with nitrates or nitrites, no oils (margarine, mayo, etc.
  • I'd also consider getting off of wheat, barley, rye and oats as well as all refined carbohydrates as the body breaks the latter down into sugars which feed cancer, and the gluten and other large protein molecules in wheat, barley, and rye destroy the digestive tract, which is often a source of chronic inflammation and antigens getting into the body.
  • Add some whey protein from One World Whey, which is high in glutathione, the master detoxifier for your liver and all of the building components of our immune cells.
  • Other really great Youngevity products to boost your immunity and ORAC are: Zradical, which Dr. Glidden often recommends, made with Fucoidan (a super-antioxidant from green-lipped mussels), wolfberry, dragonfruit, milk thistle, turmeric, and lots of great stuff.  Then there's a product by Healing America called eRadicator, which is a blend of 20 antioxidants including methionine, SOD, NAC, selenium, quercetin, ALA, curcumin, zeaxanthin, grapeseed extract, green tea extract, etc...  VERY powerful!  Then there's something called Immu-911 made by Supralife, which contains colostrum, 1,3-D Glucan; medicinal mushrooms, echinacea, pau d'arco, and lots more good stuff.  And lastly, there's another product called Ultimate Killer Biotic which is meant to be a super-immune booster containing propolis, medicinal mushrooms, and colostrum.
Also, if you look to the sidebar of this blog, I give a number of very helpful websites with TONS of other natural, safe, and effective alternative cancer treatments that you can utilize should you or a loved one be facing such a diagnosis.  I hope you found this information helpful, and if you have any questions about Youngevity or any of their products, or if you need help ordering, call me anytime at 1-866-217-6937.

Wild-Caught vs. Farm-Raised Fish

We all know the health benefits of eating fish high in Omega 3's such as salmon, which is the primary reason for the exponential growth in the consumption of salmon, tuna, catfish, tilapia, and other traditionally healthy forms of fish and seafood in recent years.  Unfortunately, as with factory farmed meats, the health benefits that would normally be obtained through the consumption of fish are greatly reduced, and in fact, consumption of farm-raised fish could actually be more damaging to your health than beneficial.  This is not to say that you should stop eating fish altogether.  Not by any means!  However, on the once or twice weekly occasion when you DO partake, go ahead and spend the extra money on a good quality piece of fish from a natural source, i.e. from the wild.  Start voting with your dollars!  Send a message to the big factory-farming food industry that we will not settle for nutrient-poor, health-depleting foods!  And in addition to eating fish from a good, quality, natural source, we also need to be supplementing with good-quality EFAs (omega 3's, 6's, and 9's in proper proportion) like the ones I take from Youngevity, which you can purchase here.  Now, on to today's article...

The following article, written by Mike Geary of www.truthaboutabs.com, is an excellent outline and detailing of the health benefits of eating wild-caught salmon and other fish over their farm-raised counter-parts. Once you've read this article, I doubt you'll ever allow yourself or your family to eat the nutritionally-obliterated farm-raised version of natural seafood again.  To read the article from its original source, you may do so here.  Enjoy!

Health Warning:  Read This if You Eat Salmon or Other Fish

The Fat Burning Kitchen
farmed fish vs wild fishWhile fish used to be considered a healthy addition to any diet, farmed fish is now barely any better than eating a Big Mac. From both a nutritional and environmental impact perspective, farmed fish are far inferior to their wild counterparts:

  • Despite being much fattier, farmed fish provide less usable beneficial omega-3 fats than wild fish.
  • Due to the "feedlot" conditions of aqua farming, farm-raised fish are doused with antibiotics and exposed to more chemicals than their wild kin.
  • Farmed salmon, are given a salmon-colored dye in their feed, without which, their flesh would be an unappetizing grey color.
  • Aqua farming also raises a number of environmental concerns, the most important of which may be its negative impact on wild salmon. It has now been established that sea lice from farms kill up to 95% of juvenile wild salmon that migrate past them.
Nutritional differences of farm-raised vs. wild fish:
Farm-raised fish have a higher fat content. It’s not very surprising, since farm-raised fish do not spend their lives vigorously swimming through cold ocean waters or leaping up rocky streams like their wild counterparts. A marine version of couch potatoes, they circle lazily in crowded pens fattening up on pellets of grain-based fish chow.  It's a very similar comparison to commercial feedlot grain-fed beef vs grass-fed free range beef or wild game.
In each of the species evaluated by the USDA, the farm-raised fish were found to contain more total fat than their wild counterparts. For rainbow trout, the difference in total fat was the smallest, while cultivated catfish had nearly 5 times as much fat as wild catfish. Farm-raised Coho salmon had approximately 3 times the total fat as wild samples.
However, total fat is not the real issue at hand here -- after all, fatty wild fish is good for you...that's why most of us take fish oil for health benefits.
The problem lies in that farm-raised fish contain more inflammatory omega-6 fats, and a large imbalance of omega-6 to omega 3 fatty acids. In three types of fish evaluated, the amount of omega 6 fats was substantially higher in farm-raised compared to wild fish. The total of all types of omega-6 fats found in cultivated fish was at least twice the level found in the wild samples.
Generally you can figure that farm-raised fish will have 10-30% more fat (and that’s mostly omega-6 fats which you already get too much of) and calories than wild-caught fish.
The fat in farmed salmon contains far less of the healthy omega-3 fatty acids than the fat in wild salmon. Salmon fat is usually rich in omega 3 fatty acids. Not so with farmed salmon!
Disease and parasites, which would normally exist in relatively low levels in fish scattered around the oceans, can run rampant in densely packed oceanic feedlots. To survive, farmed fish are vaccinated as minnows. Later, they are given antibiotics or pesticides to ward off infection.
Sea lice, in particular, are one of the worst problems. While salmon farmers have discounted concerns that sea lice are also found in the wild, at the first sign of an outbreak, they add pesticides to the feed.
Scientists in the US are far more concerned about two studies: both of which showed farmed salmon accumulate more cancer-causing PCB’s and poisonous dioxins than wild salmon.
Tests on farmed salmon at grocery stores which contains up to twice the fat of wild salmon, has found 16x the PCB’s compared to wild salmon, 4x the levels in commercial beef, and 3.5x the levels found in other seafood. Most of these toxins are stored in the fat of the fish, so guess what you are eating when you eat farmed fish?
Farmed salmon usually has dye added to it to improve the looks of the product. Even with the coloring, it never looks as good as wild salmon. These colorings also come with recently documented cancer-causing agents. These dyes have zero health benefits, and have no other purpose than to fool you, the consumer, into thinking the product is naturual looking and flavorful... Don't believe it!
Aqua farms, or “floating pig farms,” put a major strain on the surrounding environment. The fish consume huge amounts of highly concentrated protein pellets and it makes a terrific mess.
Uneaten feed and fish waste cover the ocean floor beneath these farms, which are a breeding ground for bacteria that consume oxygen vital to shellfish and other bottom-dwelling sea creatures. A good-sized salmon farm produces an amount of excrement equivalent to the sewage of a city of 10,000 people. Think about that the next time you swim in the ocean!
Fish used to be a bit of a rarity on the standard US dinner plate.  Today it is a common dinner at the homes of health-conscious consumers. Last year, salmon overtook “fish sticks” as the third most popular seafood in the American diet (trailing tuna and shrimp). The increased consumption was made possible by the explosive growth in salmon farming, an industrial system that produces the fish in vast quantities at a price far lower than wild salmon.
Although portrayed as “healthy”, most tilapia sold at restaurants and grocery stores is farm raised, and therefore is not considered the healthiest of choices.
More than half of the fish sold in supermarkets, fish markets, and restaurants are raised in high-density fish pens in the ocean, managed and marketed by the farmed fishing industry. These fish are eaten by over a quarter of all adults in the U.S. and experts predict that the exponential growth of the farmed fish industry will continue. Although it seems like a healthier choice, eating farmed fish is actually almost as bad as eating a fast food burger from commercial feedlot grain-fed beef.
blood pressureNote that when you're choosing healthier wild fish, it is a good idea to try to limit your intake of fish that are higher on the food chain (such as tuna, swordfish, shark, striped bass, bluefish, etc) to more occasional meals due to the higher levels of mercury in these fish.  Fish that are lower on the food chain such as sardines, herring, sunfish, and even trout and salmon have lower levels of mercury and are not as much of a concern.
Caution:  it is extremely important for pregnant women to speak to your doctor about fish intake.
